God Is Love - Pastor David Gomez (1 John 4:7-12)
The bible says: 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
The bible also says in 1 John 4:8 that God is Love. God is the very definition of Love. You can actually substitute the word love for the word God in the verses of 1 Corinthians 13. For example God is patient, God is kind, God does not envy etc. Why because God is Love. That's the reason why Love will never fail because God is Love. People, family members, and relationships might walk away and fail you but God will never fail you.
The world will tell you that love is just a feeling, We made love, It was Love, I love it, I love this and I love that. The Worlds def: To feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to (someone) or sexual passion or desire. The world’s concept of Love, is nothing more than Lust and Desire. The Devil has been trying to corrupt the definition of love, why? because God is the definition of LOVE and if he can alter your prospective of Love, he will alter your prospective on God. To really know how to Love and be Loved you must really have a personal relationship with the one who is Love and really knows how to Love. That is God! - Pastor David Gomez
