Walk In God’s Favor - Pastor David Gomez (Proverbs 3:1-12)
God’s Favor is the Approval of God. God shows favor to the ones who delight in him, who connect with him, who trust in him, the ones who give him the honor, the praise, the glory, and put him 1st.
You want to have Favor? Put God 1st. That means doing what he would want you do instead of what you would want to do. Get Aligned with God and his will for your life. Favor God and he will Favor You. Above all Humble your hearts seek God 1st and keep his commands. (Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you)
Moses had Favor that’s why when pharaoh tried to come after him and his people they were Destroyed.
Mary had Favor that’s why nothing Could Stop her from giving Birth to Jesus. Daniel had Favor that’s why when they threw him with the lions he survived. The Lions couldn't touch him. Jonah had Favor that’s why the whale (the big Fish) had to spit him out. Could Not Hold Him! For a while Jonah was very selfish and didn't want to do things God’s way but then he asked for a second chance.
All these people had one thing in common. They were Aligned with God’s Will. When you put God’s Will, his Plan, 1st in your life. God is Pleased. And when God is Pleased, he Grants you Favor, and when you have FAVOR, Nothing can get in your WAY!!
I pray that this year will be a year that you Find the Favor of God over your Life. I pray that you put God 1st over your life and let go of some selfishness, that when he calls upon you for a task no matter how small or big you would answer and say “Yes lord Your will Be Done!”
